What Will You Learn as a Computer Science Major?
- A series of foundational computer science and mathematics courses in data structures, algorithms, and parallel and distributed computing provide a strong base of theoretical and practical knowledge you'll use every day.
- Advanced electives build on what you've learned, diving into topics such as networking and communication, security, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
- In addition to technical expertise, you'll prepare for a successful career by learning to effectively work within a team and become familiar best practices within a professional, legal and ethical framework. Select students gain practical experience working as system administrators for the department, managing our computing facilities.
